2006 La Josefina Pinot Noir Russian River

Our 2006 La Josefina Pinot Noir, our fourth vintage, delivers the character of the vineyard with great definition and focus. These vines, located on a southeast-facing hillside above the Russian River, provide fruit with great richness and a smoky, gamey complexity reminiscent of old-world wines. In order to maximize the character of this unique wine, we included 25% whole clusters in the fermentation, and encouraged native yeast fermentation. The wine was aged in French oak barrels for ten months, and bottled without fining or filtration.
